Course Descriptions
Drawing & Painting 1 & 2
The Drawing & Painting courses involves creative problem solving on a flat surface support. Two-dimensional art generally includes; drawing, painting, printmaking, and computer graphics. In addition, students may also explore mixed-media projects that involve the creation of low relief assemblages, which are also considered two-dimensional. The aim of the course is not to create famous artists or to reproduce replicas of other artists work. Our aim is to engage students in exploring, creating, and reflecting on art/visual communication. Each students will approach projects differently, however, they will all be creating them by using their problem solving skills and higher order thinking.
